100 Manchester United goals for Marcus Rashford, eh? Was it ever in doubt?

Rashford has had his struggles during his United career and many had questioned whether we’d ever see the Englishman return to the destructive form he showed during his first few breakout performances.

Blessed with a wand of a right foot, we’ve seen Rashford score some wonderful goals over the years. To celebrate his century of strikes, here’s a ranking of his top ten goals in a Man Utd shirt.

We kick off our ranking with a strike in which Rashford displayed his fearsome ball-striking.

The England international had already given his side the lead in this Carabao Cup tie against Burton Albion when he received possession in an inside-left position before unleashing a rocket which flew beyond Connor Ripley in the Burton net.

Rashford’s 100th Manchester United goal was incredibly satisfying, and it’s the sort of finish we rarely see from the 25-year-old.

Christian Eriksen’s delivery was as sumptuous as it gets and a determined Rashford rose over the static Thilo Kehrer before emphatically firing his header beyond Lukasz Fabianski.

More of this please, Marcus.

Three days after striking twice on his first Man Utd senior appearance, Rashford was handed his Premier League debut as United took on Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Louis van Gaal’s decision to gamble with the 18-year-old in such a high-profile fixture was vindicated just before the 30-minute mark as Rashford pounced onto a loose ball in the Arsenal box and crashed home the game’s opener.

It was far from a vintage strike, but it was the forward’s first in the Premier League.

This was a really smart finish from the Man Utd star, but it was lost amid yet another dire display and result towards the end of Jose Mourinho’s tenure as manager.

The Red Devils were 2-0 down and on their way to another defeat when Rashford cleverly flicked home Luke Shaw’s out-swinging corner at the near post.

It was a mightily difficult finish, but one Rashford executed with aplomb.

Rashford ignited the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era with a beautifully struck free kick just three minutes into his tenure.

The swerve and power Rashford generated from the dead ball completely deceived Cardiff keeper Neil Etheridge, who stood motionless after taking an ill-fated step to his right as the ball nestled in the bottom corner.

While a fine effort, it’s not Rashford’s best from a set piece.

Very rarely do you see a free-kick beat a keeper on their side. It often takes something very special to do so, and Rashford produced a bit of magic in this Europa League semi-final tie.

Sergio Alvarez afforded the Englishman enough room to squeeze his effort across goal, and Rashford delivered with a pinpoint effort that proved crucial in helping United reach the final.

Benjamin White’s humiliation.

The first act of this goal was straight out of the Rashford playbook as he burst onto Bruno Fernandes’ pass in behind, but we rarely see the England international boast this sort of composure in front of goal.

After beating White for pace, Rashford proceeded to fake his way into an optimal shooting position. White bit twice before the forward fired his effort home via an inconsequential Lewis Dunk deflection.

On his first Manchester derby start, you know.

The 18-year-old, who was the name on the tip of everybody’s tongues following the fast start to his senior career, proved to be the match-winner in this 2016 bout.

Rashford was too slick for the eager Martin Demichelis, sliding the ball between the Argentine’s legs as he attempted to dispossess him, before bearing down on Joe Hart’s goal. His finish wasn’t the cleanest, but this sequence was nonetheless a watershed moment in Rashford’s Manchester United career.

The highly-anticipated duel between two of England’s brightest young talents was emphatically won by Rashford in this 2018 Premier League clash.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was starting to come into his own in a Liverpool shirt, but the seasoned Rashford – at just 20 years old – quickly brought him back down to earth.

Rashford got the ball rolling with a 14th-minute effort that sent Old Trafford into overdrive. The forward got the wrong side of the Liverpool full-back and latched onto Romelu Lukaku’s flick-on. Alexander-Arnold recovered well enough but Rashford’s chop inside created two yards of space and his fierce strike was far too much for Loris Karius to handle.

There wasn’t any doubt, was there? The free kick against Chelsea is, without question, the very best of Rashford’s 100 Man Utd goals.

The distance. The strike. The dip. This was a Cristiano Ronaldo special before, you know, he got really bad at free-kicks.

Rashford will do incredibly well to top this effort.
