The FA Cup final traditionally acts the final fixture in the domestic calendar of English football, bringing down the curtain of each season with a showpiece event.

Neil Warnock may have once opined: “Matches don’t come any bigger than FA Cup quarter-finals.” But most don’t share that view (a level of disagreement not unfamiliar to Warnock).

Here’s everything you need to know about getting a ticket to what even Warnock would concede is one of the biggest matches of the year.

The construction of Wembley Stadium was originally scheduled to conclude in 2003. However, it wouldn’t be until 2007 that the London venue was fit to host the FA Cup final, serving as the stage for a desperately drab affair which Chelsea won thanks to an extra-time goal from Didier Drogba against Manchester United.

The new Wembley has hosted every FA Cup final since and will do so again this year.

When is the FA Cup 2022/23 final?

This year’s showpiece is pencilled in for Saturday 3 June. The winners of each semi-final – which will also be held at Wembley – are set to duke it out on the weekend after the Premier League concludes at the end of May.

And that’s just the price for a simple seat. Once you’ve hit the four-digit mark, you may be tempted to make a luxurious experience out of the entire afternoon. Club Wembley’s hospitality section is highly thought of and just as highly priced.

According to P1 Travel,, a private box which comes with a three-course meal could cost as much as £1,676.
