Easter weekend has arrived in the Premier League and there is a superb set of games to look forward to which will impact both ends of the table.

There are plenty of matches to enjoy on Saturday with the early game and the late kick-off being placed either side of six 3pm kick-offs which will be eagerly monitored by those in the hunt for European places as well as others trying to avoid the drop.

Manchester United vs Everton, Tottenham vs Brighton and Leicester City vs Bournemouth will be particularly interesting clashes.

Here’s all you need to know about Saturday’s Premier League games and how to keep up with them.

They may be at opposite ends of the table, but Manchester United against Everton always has an extra edge to it given the dislike that exists between the two cities. They can often be very physical games and that will certainly be the case at Old Trafford in the early kick-off on Saturday.

United are still without the suspended Casemiro but Christian Eriksen will be back in the squad. Scott McTominay will likely keep his place, but Luke Shaw suffered an injury against Brentford and may miss out.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is suspended and Andros Townsend is also out for the Toffees, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt.

This game is really all about the away side. Their return to poor form meant the club had to come out and publicly back Steve Cooper after it seemed he was destined for the sack last weekend.

While they backed him, there was clearly an understanding that results have to improve immediately.

Forest will be hard-pressed here as Unai Emery has lifted his Aston Villa side to seventh and they are in serious contention to grab a European spot of some description. They’re outsiders, but they’re in the picture.

This has the potential to be one of the most entertaining games of the day even though it has been put at 3pm. Brentford are still very much in the fight to nab a place in the Europa Conference League or even the Europa League if they hit the right form.

As for Newcastle, they are right back in form and suddenly look more likely to grab third than drop out of the top four. After beating Man Utd 2-0 and then West Ham 5-1, the Magpies are flying and will be the narrow favourites to take all three points from London.

This could well prove to be judgement day for David Moyes.

West Ha fans may feel the moment has passed to sack him and get a new coach in, but the atmosphere at the London Stadium was truly shocking as the Hammers were ripped apart by Newcastle with complete ease, losing 5-1.

It felt like the end for Moyes but he is still in position and will be in charge as his team takes on Fulham away from home. These two sides probably thought they would have each other’s places in the table when the season kicked off as Fulham are on the periphery of the European spots.

The beginning of Frank Lampard’s second spell as Chelsea coach. He may only be in role until the end of the season, but it’s fair to say Blues fans are desperate to see him in the colours again.

Both Jonny and Ruben Neves are suspended for Wolves while Chelsea are without the experience of Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta at the back.

There is an expectation Lampard will quickly reinstate Mason Mount in the starting lineup given he is a known fan of the midfielder who has not scored since late December. N’Golo Kante could also continue his comeback from injury.

This is a huge game for both of these two teams’ European qualification hopes. Tottenham still want to look up towards Newcastle and Man Utd for a Champions League spot but defeat against Brighton would see the Seagulls move within one point of them with two games in hand.

Were Man Utd and Newcastle to win their games and Tottenham lose at home to Brighton, it could turn Spurs’ fight into one for a Europa League spot rather than a Champions League one.

Lucas Moura is out suspended but Richarlison could come back into the team.

Of all the games on Saturday, this is by far the most important for the relegation battle.

Leicester are now without Brendan Rodgers and desperately need points. Anything other than a win at home against a Bournemouth team that are two points ahead of them and also in the bottom three would be a total disaster.

With the battle being so tight, just one win against a fellow straggler can catapult teams up the table and both of these sides are in that position. Given many of the teams around these two have got very tough games this weekend, a win could be invaluable.

Manchester City will be doing all they can to continue putting the squeeze on Arsenal with the Gunners not playing until their trip to Liverpool on Sunday. Pep Guardiola’s side are up against a Southampton team that are at serious risk of being cut adrift at the bottom.

They are four points from safety and will likely need a miracle to repeat the win they got over City when the two sides met on the south coast in the Carabao Cup.

It is a game many can only see going one way, but this is the phase in the season where the oddest results begin to crop up.
