After bouncing back from a disappointing Europa League humbling at the hands of Sevilla, Manchester United bounced back well on Sunday to book their place in this year’s FA Cup final.
As well as that clash with Manchester City on 3rd June at Wembley Stadium, Man Utd have plenty of Premier League games to look forward to as well.
Here’s the next six:
This game has the potential to be crucial in the final stretch of Premier League games as both sides are vying for Champions League football next season.
As things stand, United are six points and two places adrift of Tottenham but with Spurs coming off the back of a 6-1 defeat to Newcastle United, that lead may not last much longer.
A mere three days later United welcome a rampant Villa to Old Trafford.
If the six-goal thriller earlier in the season in the Carabao Cup is anything to go by, this one could be a cracker.
On that evening in November, Man Utd came out on top – winning 4-2 – but as one of the most in-form clubs in Europe right now, Villa will certainly fancy their chances heading into this one.
30/04/2023 – Manchester United vs Aston Villa (14:00)
A repeat of the FA Cup semi final Man Utd so narrowly won on Sunday.
This time, home advantage may help Brighton – who largely outplayed Man Utd in the semi final – but the mental upper hand will be with the Red Devils thanks to the Wembley win.
Another game which Manchester United will have the mental upper hand going into. And that’s because Manchester United have already beaten West Ham twice this season – most recently in the FA Cup thanks to goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Fred.
West Ham’s improved recent form could make this a slightly trickier game than previous meetings.
Wolves have proven to be tricky customers for the supposed ‘big six’ sides of late, with Julen Lopetegui’s team recently beating Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Liverpool in recent months.
That being said, Man Utd will head into this one in much better form than any of the aforementioned club did when they faced Wolves.
Gary O’Neil’s Bournemouth have impressed of late – defeat to West Ham aside.
However, Man Utd will be big, big favourites for this game largely due to their dominant 3-0 win over the Cherries the last time these two sides faced off.
