WSL opening weekend postponed after death of Queen Elizabeth II
The opening weekend of the 2022/23 WSL season has been postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Buckingham Palace confirmed on Thursday the long-serving monarch had passed away in Balmoral. Tottenham and Manchester United had been due to open the WSL season on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
