It’s that time of the week when Fantasy Premier League players start stressing about who is fit and who is out injured or suspended. One player who is causing a lot of anxiety in the run-up to the weekend is Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Serbian striker has been in very good form for Fulham this season, as has the whole team. They are genuinely in the hunt for European qualification despite many tipping them at the start of the campaign for relegation.

Mitrovic has netted 11 Premier League goals and got two assists in 19 appearances. That is why so many people have him in their Fantasy Football teams, but he is an injury doubt for Gameweek 25.

Fulham face a Wolves team that are in a healthy run of form after looking doomed to relegation earlier in the campaign. They are going to want their Serbian striker on the pitch but coach Marco Silva does not seem very confident.

The coach admitted it would be difficult for him to make it back from injury for Friday’s match.

“Nothing different from the last game apart from Mitro. It will be difficult for him to be ready but we have some more time until tomorrow. Today he was on the pitch already, he was outside. Let’s see what will be the news for tomorrow,” Silva said in his press conference on Thursday.

That means Carlos Vinicius is expected to start the game up front for the Cottagers instead.

Ollie Watkins

Aston Villa find themselves away from home against Everton this weekend. While the Toffees have enjoyed an upturn in form since Sean Dyche’s arrival, Unai Emery will see this as a potential three points.

Watkins netted against Arsenal last weekend and will be determined to put a scoring streak together against an Everton side that has certainly known how to concede this season.

Michail Antonio

West Ham may not be in very good form at the moment but they are at home against a Nottingham Forest side that are likely to leave quite a lot of space in behind.

That is the sort of situation where Antonio could have some joy. Forest will feel like the favourites to win this game and will push forward, leaving an opportunity for Antonio to attack.

Patrick Bamford

Bamford is another striker playing for an out of form side, but his Leeds team take on Southampton who are at the bottom of the table. Given the dysfunction in both sides, Bamford could be worth a punt.

He’s been around the block a bit by now and will think this Southampton defence is one he can have some serious joy against on Saturday.
