Manchester United will meet League One club Charlton in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals next month, with the Addicks the only non-Premier League team left in the competition.

Cup holders Liverpool were not in the draw pot following their narrow fourth round defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Thursday night. As a result of their win, Pep Guardiola’s City will now travel to the south coast to face Southampton.

Nottingham Forest will host Wolves in an east meets west midlands tie, while Newcastle and Leicester have also been paired together.

Newcastle vs Leicester

Quarter-final ties will be played in the week commencing 9 January 2023.

The first legs of the two semi-finals are scheduled for the week commencing 23 January 2023, with second legs a week later from 30 January 2023.

The Carabao Cup final, where the first major silverware of the 2022/23 season will be handed out, will be on Sunday 26 February 2023 at Wembley Stadium.
