Mykhailo Mudryk took part in his first Chelsea training session on Wednesday following his move from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Blues swooped in to steal the Ukrainian from under Arsenal’s noses after agreeing to meet the €100m asking price and is now showing his new teammates what he can do at the club’s Cobham training ground.

22-year-old Mudryk scored seven Ukrainian Premier League goals prior to his departure from Shakhtar alongside three strikes and two assists in the Champions League.

His signing comes at an opportune moment for Graham Potter, who has been all at sea in recent weeks due to squad injuries and poor form and performances.

Around ten senior players were unavailable during Chelsea’s narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend, but things are looking a little better ahead of the trip to Liverpool.

Injured full backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell were also spotted training with the group.
