Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has won the PFA Vertu Motors Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month award for December.
The Norwegian has now won the award for the third time this season having claimed August and September’s gongs.
The Premier League’s top scorer by a considerable distance, Haaland continued his fine form in December after a month off for the World Cup.
A noted boyhood Leeds United fan, Haaland’s first game as a player at Elland Road ended with him scoring a match-winning brace in a 3-1 victory.
Three days later, he scored the opening goal at home to Everton in a 1-1 draw with the Toffees.
Haaland proved to be the clear winner for December’s award, raking in 40% of the vote. His nearest challenger, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, brought in 29% of votes.
Casemiro bounced back from World Cup heartache with Brazil to register a dominant month alongside Rashford for United, and he came in third place with 11%.
Arsenal captain and Haaland’s compatriot Martin Odegaard came in fourth place with 7%, while teammate Bukayo Saka and Brentford striker Ivan Toney both took 6% of votes.
