The United States, Canada, Brazil and Japan are the four teams competing at the 2023 SheBelieves Cup.

Hosts the USWNT have participated in every SheBelieves Cup to date. The 2023 SheBelieves will be Brazil and Japan’s third appearance at the tournament, and Canada’s second.

The SheBelieves Cup began in 2016, and has always been an invitational friendly tournament consisting of four teams.

The USWNT, England, Germany and France took part in the first three renditions of the tournament, but the lineups have differed year on year since 2019. Japan, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Canada, Iceland, New Zealand and the Czech Republic have all gone on to compete in the SheBelieves Cup.

There have been seven previous SheBelieves Cups, and the USWNT have won five of them.

Megan Rapinoe is the SheBelieves Cup’s all-time top scorer, with seven goals.
