Paris Saint-Germain will look to extend their current three-game winning streak when they host mid-table dwellers Lorient on Sunday but have a number of injury issues to contend with.

PSG boast an eight-point lead on second-placed Marseille and are on course to win yet another Ligue 1 title. However, manager Christophe Galtier has been hamstrung by the absences of some key players over the last few weeks.

Neymar has missed a large chunk of the season already, as has key defender Presnel Kimpembe, leaving Galtier to fill the gaps with squad players.

Here’s the PSG injury news ahead of their next Ligue 1 encounter against Lorient.

Midfielder Renato Sanches has not been included in PSG’s announced squad to face Lorient, while the league leaders will additionally be without defensive options Nordi Mukiele, Presnel Kimpembe and Timothee Pembele.

Mukiele and Kimpembe have been ruled out for the remainder of this season, while left-back Nuno Mendes failed to return to action last weekend against Angers after being substituted off with an injury a week prior.

The Portuguese star was, however, spotted in training on Tuesday and has been included in Galtier’s squad selection for their Lorient clash.

From an attacking perspective, PSG’s reliable Brazilian star Neymar returned to Paris recently following a successful ankle operation but will not feature against Lorient. The volatile forward contributed 13 goals and 11 assists in 20 league appearances this season but last played against Lille in February.

Galtier has since switched to a regular back three formation and now relies on the firepower of Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi up front. Thankfully for Galtier, none of his players are currently suspended.
