Juventus midfielder Leandro Paredes has admitted he ‘didn’t have a relationship’ with Kylian Mbappe during their time together at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 28-year-old spent three years playing alongside Mbappe for the French champions, but is spending this season on loan at Juve in a bid to earn more playing time before the World Cup.
Mbappe has long been rumoured to be a divisive figure in the PSG dressing room, with Brazil forward Neymar among the detractors of the 23-year-old Frenchman.
“I am not the one to talk about him. I had a connection with the ones I had a relationship with,” Paredes told ESPN Argentina while on international duty with Argentina this week.

“But the ones I didn’t have a relationship with, I can’t tell you about them.”
The alleged rift between Mbappe and some of his high-profile teammates has been an ongoing story this season, with Neymar in particular appearing to ‘like’ a number of social media posts criticising Mbappe following PSG’s 5-2 win over Montpellier in August when they clashed over who would take a penalty – head coach Chrisophe Galtier was later forced to play down any lingering frostiness.
The World Cup winner was even accused of campaigning for the club to sell Neymar this summer after signing a lucrative new contract to ward off interest from Real Madrid.
